GenesisTWH is Heading for Wranglers Campground at LBL in Kentucky. The weather is unpredictable but the company will be amazing as we will be camping with friends from Clarksville and Webster County. If you are not doing anything special this weekend head on down to Wranglers and join us for great food and karaoke nightly. This will be our 8th anniversary and I can't think of a better way to spend it than riding and spending time around a campfire with friends!

HORSE BUYING TIPS.....Always ask for references, ask questions, ask for a guarantee, and be comfortable asking for any information including vet records and video of any aspect of the horse you are looking for. The primary goal is for you to find exactly what you are looking for and to be sure that if you make a trip to a farm that you will not be wasting your time or theirs.  Be prepared.

Horse_Emergency_Aid.jpgWhat would happen if there was an injury while trail riding? Are you prepared? Do you have medical supplies for the rider and horse? Can you get help? If you didn't return to camp would they know where to look? Would they even notice? We were not prepared initially and never really thought about it until we began riding as a couple in Illinois on several thousand acres and would sometimes not see other riders on the trails all day.  That is when we started thinking about it and getting prepared.

Google_Ranking_Tips.jpgGenesis Tennessee Walking Horse Farm, Kentucky: To work efficiently as a farm you need the proper tools and our philosophy is that those tools include a website that is both dynamic and functional for the user and for Google. In the first 4 months of having our website launched:  http://GenesisTWH.com we are proud to announce our Google rankings

DSCN1427.JPGBig South Fork TN Trail Ride 2010: Our big fall ride with friends is a week at Big South Fork where the trails are absolutely amazing and the company wonderful. This year was no exception with 19 attending the week ride, karaoke nightly by Mark Miller, and fantastic food by each cooking team. We have met so many wonderful friends through this group and the fellowship we share. Tennessee Walking Horses riding with AQHA horses riding up to 24 miles daily.  Who says quarter horses and walking horses can't ride together comfortably!

This is a phenomenal trip with great friends and absolutely stunning riding and if you get the chance, you really need to plan a trail riding trip.

P1100862.JPGMammoth Cave Horse Camp KY: The owners of this campground are amazingly helpful and have full facilities for campers and horse enthusiasts. The entire program is only a couple of years old and has a general store, picnic patio where they have meals, new bathhouses that are clean and set up for the rider's convenience plus a great barn and a riding obstacle course on site.  You will also have special weekend entertainment. We were a last minute addition to the Labor Day weekend ride and they were able to squeeze us and the Hammonds in since we tether our Tennessee Walking Horses typically. The scheduled rides like Labor Day include breakfast and dinner with entertainment nightly and the bands are great

English_Rider_at_Wranglers.jpgGenesis TWH Rides at Wranglers KY: 9/25/2010 Camping trip to Wranglers Campground at LBL in Kentucky we met Ann Savage who was visiting Wranglers in hopes of seeing some of our local horses as she raises and trains hunter jumpers in Oswestry England. Riding this 3 year old mare by Jose' Jose' was the best part of her visit. I was happy to dismount and give her the opportunity to discover the Tennessee Walking Horse and what I think of as Kentucky hospitality with a ride on Margo Rita. She enjoyed the experience of finding out with the Tennessee Walking Horse 4 beat walk was all about which is vastly different than that of her mounts.  Ann was kind enough to send us a message of thanks.

wranglers_457x250.JPGWhat do you have to eat say our Genesis TWH Mares? One of our favorite trail riding locations as it is so close to the house and has great trails. We rode two separate weekends for the 4th of July week. This photo is from the picnic table at the famous Blue Hole at LBL Wranglers Kentucky.

The 4th weekend we had Sarah from Clarksville come down for the day and ride Legacy who is by Black Diamond Ritz and has a new owner Mallory in Madisonville Kentucky.
