Genesis TWH in Slaughters is so very proud to hear that Misty has made the Womens Day Magazine 2010 Photo Shoot Spread with owner Sandy Brocavich who let us know 11/17/2010.
Misty is a deep golden brown palomino that we sold as a 2 year old mare to Sandy in Arizona who wanted a very quiet mare. In spite of her age, this mare was born quiet and her favorite gaiat is the flat walk so you really have to call on her for more than that and this specifically is what Sandy was looking for. The fact that they both had such beautiful flaxen hair was a bonus. Misty is our first mare sold and shipped out of state at GenesisTWH and has served as an ambassador in Arizona for us resulting in 6 more mares making the trip to friends and family there two of which are Arizona Mounted Police Volunteer horses. Sandy is enjoying her horse and they are a team as you can see from the photo and the fact that 9 years later they are still spending time together every day.
You could say that Sandy paved the way for my change from raising foals to providing what I consider exceptional Tennessee Walking Horse Mares that are dependable, beautiful, well pedigreed, and easy to work with. It was beautiful seeing the first photos of the two of them with their matching glorious silver hair and to know they were well suited. Once I had her horse delivered and found out how great a match they really were, I knew that well trained horses were very much needed to be "partners" for those riders who need the security plus comfort of riding a great horse they can rely on. Each of our mares has a different personality some like Misty here that are born just to walk and be calm and laid back. Others have some step to them, however, each has individual beauty and ability that makes it a challenge and creates an overwhelming need to put the right horse with the right owners. I always love to hear from my owners or those who are considering the purchase of one of our horses that we have placed.

Thank you Sandy for sharing this wonderful photo and information with me and for providing such a great home for Tennessee Walking Horse Misty aka Shiloh.
